{"id":17004,"date":"2025-07-28T12:50:16","date_gmt":"2025-07-28T12:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pqc.es\/la-fusion-nuclear-con-fechas-a-la-vista\/"},"modified":"2026-02-23T15:40:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T15:40:08","slug":"la-fusion-nuclear-con-fechas-a-la-vista","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pqc.es\/en\/la-fusion-nuclear-con-fechas-a-la-vista\/","title":{"rendered":"La fusi\u00f3n nuclear con fechas a la vista"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"news-content-block\">\n<p>En el camino para conseguir una <strong>fusi&oacute;n nuclear que permita la obtenci&oacute;n de una energ&iacute;a limpia e ilimitada<\/strong>, dos son las tecnolog&iacute;as empleadas para conseguir las alt&iacute;simas temperaturas necesarias para que los &aacute;tomos choquen y se fusionen. <strong>Stellarator y Tokamak<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Pues bien, ambas est&aacute;n en una carrera por ver cu&aacute;l se convierte en el sistema m&aacute;s estable y eficiente.<\/h3>\n<p>El <em><strong>Tokamak<\/strong><\/em> mediante un <strong>campo magn&eacute;tico<\/strong> generado por una <strong>corriente alterna<\/strong> que se induce en el plasma, y el <strong>Stellarator<\/strong> mediante una <strong>estructura externa m&aacute;s compleja<\/strong> para confinar el plasma en un <strong>campo magn&eacute;tico tridimensional. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hasta ahora, y a pesar de que <strong>la v&iacute;a <em>Stellarator<\/em> apunta resultados m&aacute;s estables<\/strong>, <strong>la v&iacute;a <em>Tokamak<\/em>, con un dise&ntilde;o m&aacute;s simple, ha tenido mayor consideraci&oacute;n<\/strong>.&nbsp; Sin embargo, hace unos pocos meses se han presentado <strong>dos proyectos<\/strong> que anuncian la construcci&oacute;n, para la <strong>pr&oacute;xima d&eacute;cada, de reactores<\/strong> a nivel ya <strong>industrial\/comercial,<\/strong> y ambos <strong>se basan en la tecnolog&iacute;a S<em>tellarator<\/em><\/strong> aprovechando los m&aacute;s recientes avances en capacidad computacional, en imanes superconductores a alta temperatura y con el apoyo de la IA para la optimizaci&oacute;n de las geometr&iacute;as magn&eacute;ticas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>En marzo<\/strong>, la empresa <strong>&ldquo;Type One Energy&rdquo;<\/strong> (Tennessee) en el <em>Journal of Plasma Physics<\/em> y en mayo la empresa alemana<strong> &ldquo;Proxima Fusion&rdquo;<\/strong> en <em>Fusion Engineering and Design<\/em>, han puesto ya fecha para sus logros. El proyecto de <strong>Proxima<\/strong> contempla la <strong>construcci&oacute;n de una planta de 1 GW y la sit&uacute;a en los 2030s<\/strong> previo lanzamiento de una <strong>versi&oacute;n demo (en 2031) bautizada ya como <em>Alpha<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, el proyecto de <strong><em>Type One<\/em><\/strong> bautizado como <em>Infinity Two<\/em> alcanza los <strong>350 MW y la sit&uacute;a all&aacute; por mediados de los 30<\/strong>, eso s&iacute;, con una <strong>versi&oacute;n previa <\/strong>(<em>Infinity One<\/em>)<strong> <\/strong>cuya <strong>construcci&oacute;n <\/strong>comenzar&iacute;a<strong> en 2026 y <\/strong>se encontrar&iacute;a <strong>operativa en 2029.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nos tendremos que emplazar a la <strong>pr&oacute;xima d&eacute;cada<\/strong> para ver si est&aacute; realmente justificada la confianza que ambos promotores muestran sobre sus proyectos y si, gracias a ello, la <strong>producci&oacute;n de energ&iacute;a de Fusi&oacute;n mediante <em>stellarators<\/em><\/strong> pasa de lo que es ahora mismo, una <strong>ambici&oacute;n cient&iacute;fica<\/strong>, a una <strong>realidad
